1. يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَانٌ مُخَلَّدُونَ

   There will circulate among them young boys made eternal

   56:17

2. بِأَكْوَابٍ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍ مِنْ مَعِينٍ

   With vessels, pitchers and a cup (of wine) from a flowing spring -

   56:18

3. لَا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنْزِفُونَ

   No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated -

   56:19

4. وَفَاكِهَةٍ مِمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ

   And fruit of what they select

   56:20

5. وَلَحْمِ طَيْرٍ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ

   And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire.

   56:21

6. وَحُورٌ عِينٌ

   And (for them are) fair women with large, (beautiful) eyes,

   56:22

7. كَأَمْثَالِ اللُّؤْلُؤِ الْمَكْنُونِ

   The likenesses of pearls well-protected,

   56:23

8. جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

   As reward for what they used to do.

   56:24

9. لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا تَأْثِيمًا

   They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin -

   56:25

10. إِلَّا قِيلًا سَلَامًا سَلَامًا

    Only a saying: "Peace, peace."

    56:26

11. وَأَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ

    The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?

    56:27

12. فِي سِدْرٍ مَخْضُودٍ

    (They will be) among lote trees with thorns removed

    56:28

13. وَطَلْحٍ مَنْضُودٍ

    And (banana) trees layered (with fruit)

    56:29

14. وَظِلٍّ مَمْدُودٍ

    And shade extended

    56:30

15. وَمَاءٍ مَسْكُوبٍ

    And water poured out

    56:31

16. وَفَاكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ

    And fruit, abundant (and varied),

    56:32

17. لَا مَقْطُوعَةٍ وَلَا مَمْنُوعَةٍ

    Neither limited (to season) nor forbidden,

    56:33

18. وَفُرُشٍ مَرْفُوعَةٍ

    And (upon) beds raised high.

    56:34

19. إِنَّا أَنْشَأْنَاهُنَّ إِنْشَاءً

    Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a (new) creation

    56:35

20. فَجَعَلْنَاهُنَّ أَبْكَارًا

    And made them virgins,

    56:36

21. عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًا

    Devoted (to their husbands) and of equal age,

    56:37

22. لِأَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ

    For the companions of the right (who are)

    56:38

23. ثُلَّةٌ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ

    A company of the former peoples

    56:39

24. وَثُلَّةٌ مِنَ الْآخِرِينَ

    And a company of the later peoples.

    56:40

25. وَأَصْحَابُ الشِّمَالِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الشِّمَالِ

    And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left?

    56:41

26. فِي سَمُومٍ وَحَمِيمٍ

    (They will be) in scorching fire and scalding water

    56:42

27. وَظِلٍّ مِنْ يَحْمُومٍ

    And a shade of black smoke,

    56:43

28. لَا بَارِدٍ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ

    Neither cool nor beneficial.

    56:44

29. إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ

    Indeed they were, before that, indulging in affluence,

    56:45

30. وَكَانُوا يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى الْحِنْثِ الْعَظِيمِ

    And they used to persist in the great violation,

    56:46

31. وَكَانُوا يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ

    And they used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?

    56:47

32. أَوَآبَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ

    And our forefathers (as well)?"

    56:48

33. قُلْ إِنَّ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالْآخِرِينَ

    Say, (O Muhammad), "Indeed, the former and the later peoples

    56:49

34. لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَاتِ يَوْمٍ مَعْلُومٍ

    Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day."

    56:50

Translation: Saheeh International
